Head of Division: Mrs. Victoria Pwol
The GHG Inventory Division has a vision to ensure that Nigeria develops in harmony with the environment by satisfactorily providing a sustainable policy framework and enabling environment for the implementation of the UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol, as well as, any other climate change guidelines, laws and control in Nigeria.
The Greenhouse Gas Inventory Division estimates emissions and removals of greenhouse gases (GHG) annually from sources and sinks which is an obligation to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) vis a vis the National Communications and the Biennial Update Report (BUR) now Biennial Transparency Report (BTR).
